Maximilian Hess: Builder & Strategist

Where Web3, AI and attention converge:
I build the bridge.

Three layers. Three trust models. One structural reorganization.

Industrial engineer by training. 7+ years building at the seam between enterprise systems and decentralized infrastructure. Now writing The Convergence — a daily structural intelligence sensor tracking how ownership, agency and attention are reorganizing the internet.

The Convergence

Ownership. Agency. Attention.

A daily structural intelligence sensor reading the reorganization of the internet — through three observable layers and three hidden forces.

Ownership

Who controls what. Before blockchain, you couldn't truly own anything digital. That principle now moves through cryptographic protocols, regulation and platform standards.

Trust is declarative — you prove it in the moment.

Agency

Who does the work. AI crossed the threshold from tool to coworker. Agent frameworks, delegation chains and verification systems — built simultaneously by teams who haven't agreed on standards.

Trust is commitment-based — agents earn it through track records.

Attention

What compounds. Algorithms replaced human curation. When content supply becomes infinite, the scarce resource isn't creation — it's curation. Whoever controls the feed controls what gets seen.

Trust is performative — you earn attention by demonstrating value repeatedly.

I think in systems. I build at edges.

I started where things move: logistics, supply chains, industrial automation. Understanding how real-world systems create trust and deliver value under constraints. That training gave me a lens: every system has structure, actors and energy. When you see one, you see all three.

The signal came during a blockchain project at BMW: the infrastructure layer was being rewritten. I spent the next four years inside Deutsche Bahn bridging legacy systems and decentralized infrastructure — self-sovereign identity, blockchain-based train routing, IT project management across three business units. Two worlds that don't speak the same language. I learned to translate.

Then I stopped translating for institutions and started building. The Convergence is the result: a daily intelligence sensor that reads the structural reorganization of the internet through three layers — ownership, agency and attention — and three hidden forces that determine whether what it sees actually matters. Automated pipeline. Structured data. Published every day at 06:00 UTC.

The internet is drowning in takes. What it lacks is structure. That's the gap I operate in.
